Video content for - ID/Otago Museum Fashion Forward Exhibition for 2021.

For my final project at Polytechnic, my client was ID and Otago Museum. I created an overall promotional video campaign for their up and coming Fashion Forward Exhibition for 2021. The overall intention was to bring as many people as I can to this exhibition. My target audience for this project were the people who ARE interested in fashion, and the people who may not realise they are until they attend.

To do so, I am going to took use of the modern day technology we can use today, and create different types of visual effects to promote fashion in a new and unique way. I want any viewer to watch these videos and enjoy them, get excited! Rather than just show the garmets and the fashion in the typical way, slow music, long shots showing the garmets. The aim was to show fashion in a unique way with loud upbeat music, quick cuts, glows and glitches.

My client had asked for this campaign to be cryptic. He didn’t want to give too much away until they get to the exhibition. This I believe I definitely took to my advantage and played with lots of effects and glitches to not show anything in full. People always want to know the full story, see the full picture, this way they can’t. And this makes them want to! Which leading to the beginning makes people interested, want to know more, excited, and bring them to the exhibition. I created multiple gifs, teasers, projections, and 3 main category videos to make this campaign worthwhile.
